Mogadishu is stepping boldly into a new chapter. The capital is preparing to build the future headquarters of the Mogadishu Police Command — a project that symbolizes more than just relocation. It marks a generational shift from the old city center to the emerging “New Mogadishu,” where modern planning and national renewal meet.

The new complex is being constructed on the former Fire Department grounds, an area that was previously cleared to make way for essential public infrastructure. Now, the site is being transformed into something far larger in scale and importance including Police university, New fire station.

The plan includes a fully modern fire-rescue center, state-of-the-art administrative buildings, advanced police training facilities, and a redesigned command headquarters built from the ground up. Every part of the project reflects a vision of a safer, more organized, and more professional Mogadishu.

This development isn’t just about infrastructure. It’s about identity.
It’s about a capital city reshaping itself with intention and confidence.

For years, Mogadishu has carried the weight of conflict and recovery. Today, it is choosing a different path — rebuilding institutions, upgrading public safety systems, and investing in long-term stability. The new Police Command headquarters stands as a physical reminder that Somalia is not standing still. It is moving forward, stone by stone, foundation by foundation.
