Stabilizing Mogadishu is Key to Somalia’s Peace
Mogadishu’s stability is critical for achieving a secure and unified Somalia. For decades, the city has faced turmoil, affecting its residents and the entire country. However, patience and long-term support are necessary for Mogadishu’s stability to be sustained and expanded nationwide. Building solid institutions and reducing extremism requires a decade of committed governance and focused efforts. Stability in Mogadishu sets the stage for a stable Somalia, creating a ripple effect that can foster economic growth and national unity. This transformation, while challenging, is within reach if President Hassan and his administration are given the time they need.
