Cadale, March 20, 2025: The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has arrived in the town of Cadale in the Hirshabelle State. He was warmly welcomed by the President of Hirshabelle State, Ali Abdullahi Hussein, alongside federal and state-level officials, military commanders, and officers.
The President’s visit marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to bolster the fight against terrorism and to oversee the operational command centers dedicated to the liberation of the country. During his visit, he is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with military leaders, local authorities, and community representatives to further strategize and reinforce the gains made in the counter-terrorism campaign.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud commended the resilience and support demonstrated by the local communities in Hirshabelle towards the national armed forces. He emphasized the critical role they play in the ongoing efforts to liberate areas still under the control of extremist groups and to rebuild regions that have been freed from the grip of the enemy, which had subjected them to harsh living conditions.
The President reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring the complete liberation of all territories and the restoration of stability and normalcy in areas affected by terrorism.
